The first time we met Francisco (owner), he was researching which workshop he would choose to customize this Honda CB Seven Fifty. He ended up in 2016 by choosing another workshop. In that workshop the bike was dismantled but nothing else was done. It arrived at Unik Edition in 2020 in a box of parts. A mix between new pieces already bought, pieces to recover, pieces to throw away, a mess! Other builders know the feeling!
Francisco did not know exactly what he wanted, after seeing thousands of photos he wanted everything he saw. Typical! From the beginning it was a challenge to find a common project and at the same time to be able to manufacture the parts that allowed to complete the entire bike.
Since the installation and adaptation of the front forks, the rims, manufacture of the entire exhaust in Tig, brackets of the various parts, sub-frame, side covers tightened inside, hiding all the electrical part, the choice of the painting exemplarily painted by our friend Johnny Ink, the entire electrical installation of motogadget, etc. Above all, Francisco, also wanted to raise the bar for the finishing standards of the Unik Edition. All the screws on this bike would have to be more than perfect, something we have achieved without losing some retro futuristic look.
The name Laurus is due to the symbolism of the plant which a crown was made that only the winners used after the victory. The number 1 painted on the side cover in some way has the same meaning. Somehow mirroring the spirit of the cafe racer, be the first, become a winner (customer choices).
We are very satisfied with the result, the bike improved the ciclistic, brakes well, has a phenomenal sound, has lights, turn signals and license plates, is comfortable. It’s not just a beautiful everyday ride, it’s something else.
This was our #28 custom project. In just 2 years as pro-builters. We are building for internacional customers, an achievement that makes us proud and that places our workshop among the best in Europe.
